Quality of Life in South Gate

Dear South Gate Bloggers,

In one of our many trips around the city we notice how dirty DOLLAR TREE keeps the sidewalk around their store. We spoke to the Manger and addressed our concerns about how we need their support to keep our city clean. From his point of view this was not his decision to make. He said I need to talk to my corporate office about it. Really? We believe that any business no matter how small or large needs to put effort to keep our community clean. Please read the red text with their mission statement we found on their website and tell us if it makes any sense not to clean around their store. DOLLAR TREE claims to be a green store. Our massage to this manager is that cleaning trash for his sidewalk is also being Greer.
Please comment about this topic and let us know what you think.

Dollar Tree, Inc. is a customer-oriented, value-driven variety store operating at a one dollar price point. We will operate profitably, empower our associates to share in its opportunities, rewards and successes; and deal with others in an honest and considerate way. The company's mission will be consistent with measured and profitable growth.

Using just 21 words, we have instilled the values that guide our associates.
It's not the number of words that count, but the words themselves.

Attitude is everything, and often contagious, which is why we strive to keep a positive attitude in every situation. Whether we are serving customers or working with fellow employees, we are courteous, act responsibly, and carry ourselves with integrity.

What is best for our customers and what
is best for our company and employees
are guiding principles in every business decision we make.

From customer to coworker, Dollar Tree associates treat everyone whom which we interact with the dignity and respect that they deserve.
