Members our our community group and some community officials have taking to the streets to help our community look cleaner today. We had approximately 15 people working together and making a difference in a positive way. Rain or shine we gather trash from allies, streets and even private business parking lots.
We encourage people to keep our city clean. Please read the following broken window theory about and why we should keep our community clean. This article explains how important is to have clean neighborhoods.

Many thanks to Residents in Action, a group that will finally address the many issues that has plagued the west side of South Gate. I applaud the group for taking such an active role in cleaning up the city and specifically on a rainy day. Although I wasn't able to make it that Saturday, you can certainly count on one more to join the next time around. Maybe someone can post the next clean up day.
